About Tyler Horst

Born and raised in Portland, OR Tyler Horst has felt connected to the Portland Metro area and the Pacific Northwest for his entire life. The decision to go into real estate after graduating from the University of Oregon was an easy one – the opportunity to help people find homes and establish roots in the area he loves is a dream come true.

Tyler workswith buyers, sellers, investors & builders throughout the entire Portland Metro area, with a particular focus on Cedar Mill and the surrounding Westside areas. He’s the 3rd generation of his family to go into the real estate industry – his father Tim owns Summa Real Estate Group and has 30+ years of experience in real estate while his grandfather John Olsen was instrumental in the development of many significant real estate projects & communities in the area including Tanasbourne, one of largest town centers within the Portland Metro area. These family connections gave Tyler world-class guidance and support but they also left him with some big shoes to fill:

With over 200 homes sold and 100 million+ in sales, Tyler has quickly established himself as one of the leading Realtors in Portland. He was also recently recognized as the #1 highest producing Realtor under the age of 30 in the State of Oregon. He loves helping first-time buyers find their ideal Portland home and has also developed a knack for working with landowners and builders to create new housing stock in and around the city. Before becoming involved in real estate, Tyler worked in advertising and marketing – this experience, combined with his in-depth knowledge of the city and surrounding suburbs, makes him an ideal fit as a listing agent too.

At the end of the day, real estate is a people-oriented business. Working as a solo operation allows Tyler to turn professional interactions into authentic connections that emphatically debunk the myth of the realtor as a “used car salesman”. He works closely with buyers and sellers to help them achieve their real estate goals and has an extensive network of builders, lenders, inspectors, and other real estate professionals to call upon when needed. In addition to being licensed as a realtor in Oregon & Washington, Tyler has a Principal Brokers license. This allows him to train & mentor other agents.

When he isn’t working, Tyler enjoys experiencing the Pacific Northwest to its fullest – hiking, golfing, trying new restaurants and breweries, and watching as many Oregon Ducks football games as his busy schedule allows.
